Just 66 km from Sydney, situated at the top of the M4 motorway, is Glenbrook, a delightful village with a great community atmosphere, enjoying a temperate climate and boasting interesting local history and natural beauty.
Glenbrook is the first entry point to the Blue Mountains National Park and the ideal location for the Blue Mountains Visitor Information Centre. Visitors come to enjoy bushwalking and rock climbing in the Glenbrook Gorge, swimming in the Jelly Bean and Blue Pools, cycling along the classic Blue Mountains track to Woodford, and so much more. On weekends, the Blue Mountains Creative Arts Centre Gallery is open, and there are monthly craft markets.
The Mountain Blue Café in Glenbrook was opened in January 2003 by Jenny; she and her staff have created a relaxed, bright and welcoming atmosphere for her multicultural clientele who include lots of tourists, mixing with the friendly locals.
The café offers Australian, homestyle cuisine with special children's meals. For her coffee, she's selected Belaroma's S25 blend which in Australia's increasingly coffee savvy marketplace is very well received. "I've really appreciated Belaroma's consistent, friendly service and advice," remarks Jenny. "The professional attitude of their Business Development Managers ensures a high level of continuing support and excellent ongoing staff training".
Julie and Tina are the onsite managers and between them they look after customers seven days a week. The popular breakfast menu is served up to 4 pm daily, with the dinner menu available from 5 pm. There is easy parking both at the front and rear, and the spacious café seats 60 inside and 24 outside (under cover).
As well as providing a warm welcome, good food and great coffee, Jenny also has a unique gift shop attached to the café, which is great for browsing and selecting that out of the ordinary present.
