| Welcome to Cooma, the gateway to Australia's Snowy
Mountains - the rooftop of Australia !
Situated on the main street of Cooma, you will find this local
icon with a great reputation, throughout the district and beyond,
for its food and coffee.
The Lott Foodstore, Bakery and Café was opened in November
2002 by Matt Dowdney and Adam Zanca as a small 'cosy and quiet'
café, serving top quality food and, of course, top quality
coffee - which is why Belaroma No 1 was selected as the blend of
choice.
Now,
three years later, this 'cosy and quiet' café has become
the foodies and locals hangout for the district, trading 7 days
a week, 363 days a year. A dedicated team now work the store led
by the very efficient and service focussed store manager, Jason
Galloway.
Coffee addictions are rampant in this part of the country and well
catered for by The Lott team with enormous early morning coffee
runs for both takeaway and dine in patrons - it is not unusual for
takeaway orders of 20 cups at a time.
The Lott Foodstore specialise in using the best local fresh produce
for the modern Australian menu with Head Chef, Peter Hurley, leading
a very capable kitchen team of five, producing breakfast, brunch
and lunch 7 days a week.
The store also retail a range of top quality local food products
and novel kitchen/food items including cookbooks, olive picks, bottles
of beautiful local olive oil and more.
The Lott team were ecstatic to receive a mention in the Sydney
Morning Herald Good Food Guide 2005 and the crew work hard to spread
the word on great food and especially great coffee - never compromise
on either !
Matt and Adam have recently taken over another local café
and are now busy establishing The Lott Catering Company. So next
time you are passing through Cooma on your way to Victoria or the
NSW ski fields, make sure you schedule time for a break at The Lott
Foodstore, Bakery and Café.
