Café La Plaz is conveniently located in the heart of Brisbane city on the corner of Wharf and Adelaide St. Since buying the café 18 months ago the current owners Robert and Delwyn Scurr have worked hard to develop the business, paying special attention to the quality of their coffee.
Originally producing excellent coffee with Belaroma’s Supreme No 25, Robert felt he could improve the coffee further by moving to the premium blend, Octavia. Since making the change he has received fantastic feedback from regular customers and occasional visitors alike and furthermore has seen an increase in his coffee sales. Seeking to improve quality even further Robert recently invested in state of the art Dalla Corte 3 Group espresso machines for his two outlets. These new machines have given him the ability to perfectly match the temperature of the water to the “sweet spot” of the Octavia blend producing a truly outstanding espresso.

The café’s casual atmosphere, friendly staff and menu showcasing contemporary Australian cuisine, with dishes such as Lemon Pepper Squid, Tender Steak Sandwiches or the Hearty Burger, make it a great place for a relaxed lunch, meetings or just a break and a great coffee.
The café is open for breakfast and lunch weekdays from 6.30am through to 4pm. On Friday evenings you can unwind after a hard week with colleagues over drinks listening to live music. Parking can be found either on the street nearby on in one of the many parking stations near the café.
